Turkey Wrap Turkey Chili & More!

Postby Jessica40 » Sun Oct 02, 2005 5:39 pm

Tried this one today, very easy, very healty, very filling.

1 pkg turkey slices, deli or whatever you like
1 large cucumber
1 large tomatoe
1 bag carrots
1 container soft cream cheese
1 jar honey dijon mustard, or whatever mustard you like
1 pkg tortilla bread-soft --should be located in the dairy section

Dice the tomatoe and cucumber and set aside. Shred 5 carrots.
Spread cream cheese on bread. Then alittle mustard and spread
evenly on top of cream cheese. Place turkey on bread. Starting
at the end of the bread place a little bit of the cut up tomatoe, cuc
and carrot, then roll from on end tuck under as you go. Secure with
a tooth pick. Now take the ends and fold them in.

That is it. A nice healty pita. You can serve with chips if you like.

Hi LWD, you are so funny!!
As you can see I love to cook, easy stuff. I am honored that you are trying the recipes. I just surf the net and come up with them. Now that I know you like turkey and I am trying to do more with turkey and wean away from beef, I will be sharing more with you absolutely!! I think I posted a hamburger pie awhile back that was made with beef. I made it with ground turkey instead and it was wonderful!! I am going to check and see if I did not post it, I will today because it is very, very good with ground turkey. LoveLightBlessings ^i^ Let's continue to keep insync.

Hi Jessica,
Now that I know you like turkey and I am trying to do more with turkey and wean away from beef, I will be sharing more with you absolutely!!

the Dove cooked some Turkey roll while they were staying here - I'm now hooked 8) - Ive never really had a leaning to it over the years - UNTIL NOW!! lol absolutely yummmmmy - im not a big red meat eater either, your suggestion of grounding turkey is good, I love chicken, but do get a bit bored with it at times,,

Turkey Chili

Postby Jessica40 » Sat Oct 08, 2005 1:48 am

I have been making this one for years!! Serve with crescent rolls and a salad, good well rounded meal.

1 pound ground turkey--not tube--freshly ground is better
1 pkg Chili mix--I prefer the mild, you can use regular if you like
1 can pinto beans (undrained) --you can use kidney, I prefer pinto because they are softer
1 can diced stewed tomatoes

Brown turkey. Drain. Add Chili mix, pinto beans, tomatoes and water according to measurement on chili package.

Simmer for about 10 minutes stirring. That's it. Enjoy.
