Wind Chimes

Postby whispering breeze » Wed Nov 12, 2003 8:43 pm

Hi Kavitha,

I am making some changes at home and I was just wondering, where is the best place to hang Wind chimes indoors.

I have two hanging inside my bathroom window, one is attached to the other so they make a big long wind chimes, The top one is of stars and the moon, it is a brassy colour with indigo beads, and the botton one is angel cherubs in a heart with the colour cream and more pretty colours.
I am wondering if I should separate them though?

I also have one in my kitchen against the wall. It is clear and is also stars.
My bathroom window faces south east and my kitchen wall where the other windchime hangs faces east.

I am not sure if this helps you though?

Thanks.

Hi Margo,

yes, you can seperate them if you feel its too long....

Is that made only of beads or you have any metal or glass rods...

If you have rods, then You didn't mention about the number of rods.

Windchimes with 6 and 8 rods are said to bring luck, fortune....
5 rods are generally used for dispersing the negative energies,

We should never use a Four rod winchime as an antidote. The word four sounds similar to "Death" in Chinese, so it is a tenet that if four rods are kept in a house it might bring bad luck to the occupants....

So, generally four rod winchimes would not be supplied as a FengShui antidote by any aunthentic FS practitioner....

Tips:
This year worst stars are in the North and South- East, so if you could hang your metal windchimes in those directons, hope it would give much benefits.

I look forward for your comments.....

That's good as I am happy with them. :D

Well, the top one in the bath room is made of metal, while the one underneath is made of Clay and metal. The one in my Kitchen is made of Plastic.

Ok, the top one in the bathroom has 6 all together, the one underneath that has 4 metal rods and one string with a button in the middle of it, Kitchen one has 5 all together...sorryI know this is confusing. By rods I take it you mean the attached dangly things

Cool so I have 5, 5 and 6

Thanks Kavitha, I will make sure I never buy a four rod one

Whispering Breeze,

What type of wind chimes is good? I've seen rod type wind chimes, wooden(bamboo), seashells, and beads. Which one is better?

Josmond,

Metal wind chimes are good for dispersing the negative chi as well it can be used to improve luck.
Bamboo (wood element) is used for improving wealth luck
Seashell (water element) is also used for improving wealth luck.
