Not really a tip to do with cooking, but it uses food. If you are knitting with baby wool and your hands are rough the wool catches on the rough bits of your hands and can be very annoying. Put a teaspoon of sugar and a squeeze of lemon juice in the palm of one hand and rub it all over your hands then rinse off with water. Your hands should be very smooth and the wool should stop catching on them, and your hands will smell nice, too. :color:

Here is another one for you about this ---

If you hands smell of onions or garlic -- wash your hands with any soap while holding a butter knife or rub you hands on the stainless steel sink this removes the odours

Heres another tip for smeely hands (for whatever reason, onions garlic or the reaalyicky things like feaces) wash your hands with a small ammount of toothpaste. My mum is a nurse and they use this method all the time.
