Hamburger Pie

This one is easy and a favorite, serve with a nice salad

1 pd ground turkey or beef
1 pkg taco seasoning mix, I prefer the mild but you use whatever one you like

1/4 cup bell pepper diced
1/4 cup onion diced
1 can crescent rolls
1- 16 pkg bag cheese, what ever mixture you like, I use mozarella and cheddar
1 container of soft butter or margarine

Cook meat, bell pepper and onion together. Drain.
Mix meat mixture with taco mix.
Place mixture in a baking dish
Top with cheese-not the entire bag just cover the top good.
Take crescent rolls, unroll them and lay them on top of cheese so
that it covers the top, pince the edges of the dough together so
the dough completely covers cheese. Spread a little butter on dough. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the dough ontop is a nice brown color not burned though. Take out and sprinkle top with a little paprika. Serve with salad.

It is in the dairy section. It is biscuits but they are called crescent rolls. Pillsbury makes them but the non name brand taste just as good. As a matter of fact we eat them for breakfast in the morning instead of regular biscuits with strawberry syrup by smuckers and it is delicious!! :1:
