Water savings ideas

Postby shazza » Wed Mar 19, 2008 7:39 am

Here in Australia in some parts it may be flood - but in my part it is very much still drought!

I saw a local camping shop advertising cheap camping shower pump, so now it's deployed to empty Olivia's bath water onto the garden outside the window. Much less backbreaking!

Just wanted to share my idea :)

Great idea Shazza...you should let the company know of this diversification....
I don't believe in charity. I believe in solidarity. Charity is so vertical. It goes from the top to the bottom. Solidarity is horizontal. It respects the
other person and learns from the other. I have a lot to learn from other people.

Oh and give them a bank account for your percentage of the profit in additional sales ;)

I just saw an idea gor kids baths (of course depends on the size/age of the children)

Rather than filling up the tub you just use a rubbermaid bin. You use less water and in good weather could use it right outside!

The wiser the soul .... the greater the simplicity.

Meddle not in the affairs of Dragons for you are crunchy and good with salsa.

I used to be schizophrenic, but we're OK now.

I was watching this tv show with my husband about greener homes being build and they have this device that reutlizes white water... such as shower water... as a way to save on water....

FYI when we had to watch water consumption several years ago... I too would use water from the bath to water my gardens.. I got a heck of a lot of excercise too!!
