blood pressure

Postby vicky » Sat Nov 03, 2007 4:49 am

do any of you know about blood pressure?

Mine is 115/50 when sitting (after a work out) all the practise nurse said was "it is rather low"

I am so tired...and getting not quite dizzy but wobbly sensations

any comments would be helpful - tried googling but most charts show a distolic reading of 60+ ...I can't be that fit coz I am about 40lb over weight!!

Hi Vicky
I have my own monitor which I bought some time ago from LLoyds Chemist at £9.99.
It is really easy to use and you can take a reading anytime you want. Now the interpretation(BP) results are as follows.
[b]category of BP Systolic BP Diastolic BP Advice
Hypotension <100 <60 Contact GP if suffering low BP (eg fainting)

Ideal <120 <80>220 >120 GP or hospital immediately

Hope this explains a but for you but it looks to me to be ok bur reccommend you buy a monitor and if it stays low for a while ask your GP for advice. I keep to normal- high normal if I can and I do monitor very regularly
Hugs
Wyn
