apple cider vinegar drink

Postby starfish » Thu Mar 10, 2005 2:01 pm

I have read alot about the health benefits of drinking apple cider vinegar. I just found out I have high cholesterol, and read a recipe that has worked for many, mixing grape juice and vinegar, supposedly works without even changing the diet, though it is of course, a good idea. I know there are many other health benefits as well. Does anyone else drink this? Apparently drinking it with hot water and honey will cure a cold, stop a headache, and cure cravings for alcohol and sugar as well. Can't hurt to try!

Hi, Starfish. It certainly helped some digestive upset I was experiencing last year, but even mixed with fruit juice it still made me *beep* up my face. :o

There is a lot around the site about Apple Cider Vinegar I will look for more on it for you and pop it in here

Apple Cider Vinegar it restores the acid mantle to the skin. It can be used, diluted, as a skin tonic. It is antibacterial and anti-fungal and gives the immune system a good boost. As a high potassium electrolyte balancer, it remineralise the body and helps normalize the blood’s alkaline acid balance. Apple Cider Vinegar is a good remedy for food poisoning and helpful in digestive upsets. It is also effective for urinary tract infections and it lowers high blood pressure.

May your day be filled with blessings Like the sun that lights the sky,
May you always have the courage To spread your wings and fly!

I have a little book on apple cider vinegar. It is good for a lot of things.
I did start taking it everyday a few years ago, but then I started on the blood type diet (I'm A+) and for my blood type it says not to have any form of vinegar.
So that was the end of that.

I don't believe in charity. I believe in solidarity. Charity is so vertical. It goes from the top to the bottom. Solidarity is horizontal. It respects the
other person and learns from the other. I have a lot to learn from other people.

I don't know, but possibly the honey would make it more palatable? :o

Well, I tried it and I felt such a burning in my stomach. I am a type a also, so maybe this is the problem. I was really hoping this would work for me, but I do have a very, very sensitive stomach. I have read that it helps weight loss too.

Hi, I have taken apple cider vinegar for aiding digestion and it certainly worked if you can deal with the acidic taste. High Cholesterol runs in my family and my mother's went up to 14 overnight! Weirdest thing is when she recently went on the protein diet which has a high fat content you would think it would put her cholesterol through the roof but it did the opposite, she got the best results ever. So as with everything in life I believe you have to find out what works best for your body and you are the person that knows it best. Not everyone is the same, so what works for one person may not work for another. :3:
