Releasing Stress.

There are times in our lives where we will experience some stress, and this can leave us feeling pretty low.
Here are some things you can do to release stress;

1. Simple yoga postures helps to keep your mind calm and your body relaxed.

2. Doing aerobic exercise is stimulating and gives you a feel good feeling factor.

3. Chilling out and watching your favourite movie, or listening to your favourite cd.

4. Dancing to your favourite track, and having fun as you do.

5. Taking long walks in the fresh air, being able to visit a beach and breathe in the sea air or admiring the beauty of nature around you wherever you are.

6. Writing down your frustrations, getting them all out.

7. Laughing release of endorphins, which are the bodies natural painkillers, they help us to maintain and healthy balance.

8. Asking for help even though we may be proud, we all need some help at some stage and recieving a hug.

Chatting with friends releasing emotions, laughing, crying, shouting and even being quiet and listening.
I am a Reiki Master - teaching students levels 1 + 11. My main interests are Reiki, Spiritulism, meditating,organising well-being workshops and offering a listening ear (which of course is another form of healing. I love attending workshops on any of the above and am looking for courses in NLP which I would love to progress to.

Health Tips that you can do at home.

When you suffer with a cold there are some things you can do for yourself to help keep you comfortable and healthy.

1. Drink plenty of fluids.
When you're unwell with a cold or 'flu, it is easy to become dehydrated. It is natural for the body to want more in the way of fluid when ill, that's why when ill we drink more fuilds as our bodies become naturally more thirsty. It is the bodies way of stopping dehydration.

2. Rest and sleep.
When we are unwell we can become irritable and go through all the symptoms of being unwell and this can be an unpleasent time. Making sure you get plenty of rest will allow your body to fight off the virus/cold much quicker.

Don't worry about the house work that needs doing or jobs you promised to do, at this time you must come first and it is important not to over do it, which will only cause you to become much weaker, and your body will have a much harder job to make you well. Most importantly do not do any exercise in this time, let your body recover.

3. Fresh Air.
Opening a window helps the fresh air to come into your home and circulate, your body requires fresh air to breathe well.

If a person that has a cold/'flu comes into your home, make sure you open a window, this will help to ensure the beacteria from the cold/'flu is able to escape through the window. Although the best advise is to ask anyone that is unwell not to come to your house.

4. Painkillers.
If you are suffering with a headache and other aches and pains and you have tried not to take painkillers of any kind, there may be a time you have no choice as you can only take so much. So do not feel guilty for giving in and taking a pain killer, your health and well being is most important.

5. The Doctor.
If you find yourself feeling very ill, and you notice any rashes on your skin that look like deep purple, see if someone can roll a glass over the rash if it does not disapear it could be a form of Meningitis which needs urgent treatment. There are time we have to call the doctor and do not feel afraid to go and see him.

Exercise can help control weight, diabetes , and high blood pressure. Exercise that uses oxygen to provide energy to large muscles (aerobic) raises your heart and breathing rates. Such vigorous, regular exercise as brisk walking, jogging and swimming also condition your heart and lungs.

Obesity is defined as having a body mass index of 30 or above. Obesity risks are similar to smoking risks.
